I picked Ray up on my way to school from the South End and just talked until we got to school. Ray was a friend.

There is no finer a human being than Ray Levias. His caring as a team mate and classmate was exemplary. He embodied the best of atheltics in his talent and demeanor on the field for two undefeated state chanpionship years. More importantly he exemplied the best as a human being in his lifetime of service to our country and positive impact in the world, and as a husband, father, family member and friend. No one could deserve this honor more.

The nomination photo of a Blanchet defender tackling Ray with ‘Kill Garland’ on his helmet. Thanks for running over him Ray!

I have so many memories of Ray. The first time we raced each other in the 50 yard dash when we were freshman. The time we visited his brother Nelson I I heard for first time I heard the song My Girl by the Temptations. The time Bill Kidwell and I attended a party at his girlfriend’s house. The many many times Ray and I shared our trials and tribulations of living life in a turbulent time. All I can say is Ray Levias was a dear dear friend to me at Prep
